About our Organization
Afro Chess & Art Development was born from a vision to empower children through both strategy and creativity. Founded in 2025 by Sifiso Sibusiso Mabanga and Khethukuthula Mthembu, the startup blends chess and art to create a space where young minds can explore, learn, and grow.
Through guided chess sessions, children develop patience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Meanwhile, art workshops encourage self-expression, confidence, and emotional growth, giving them tools to navigate challenges both in school and in life.
Our mission goes beyond skills and games; we aim to cultivate leaders who understand their value, express their creativity freely, and positively impact their communities. Every child has the potential to protect their “inner king,” and we provide the guidance and space to make that possible.
